Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuo, on November 16, 2010, signed legislation aimed at reducing the income tax burden of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other taxpayers for the 2010 tax year that is, tax years beginning after December 31, 2009, and before January 1, 2011.1 Certain provisions in the legislation will also affect future years.
