17/08/2010German Court Rules on Deductions for Home-Office Expenses

In a recent decision, the German Federal Constitutional Court has found another change in German tax law to be unconstitutional. As of assessment period 2007 onwards, the German legislature restricted the deduction of income-related expenses for home offices. Until then, it had been possible to deduct income-related expenses for home office space up to 1,250 per year, if one of the following conditions is met:
