01/12/2010Canada: Holders of Taiwan Passports Now Visa Waived

Individuals holding ordinary Taiwan passports no longer require a temporary resident visa TRV to enter Canada, effective immediately, according to an announcement from the Canadian Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister. To qualify, an individual must hold an ordinary passport that was issued by Taiwans Ministry of Foreign Affairs and contains the individuals personal identification number. Holders of other Taiwan travel documents still require a TRV to enter Canada.
