Dutch company pension funding levels are worse than at the end of 2008. DNB expects around 100 funds will be behind on previous efforts to improve their funding position. These and other funds will have to take extra steps to improve their position which could include cutting benefits already built up or asking the company for more cash. Companies should be proactive and assess the impact of these funding shortfalls on their business.
