London | 03/02/2010 - 14/02/2010 Ibsen Stage Company present Hedda Gabler in Hammersmith

Following guest performances in Norway and the success abroad with 'Little Eyolf', the Ibsen Stage Company returns to London with a new version of Ibsen’s psychological thriller Hedda Gabler.

This naked, exposed and immediate vision of Ibsen will run from 3 to 14 February 2010 at Riverside Studios. Directed and translated by Terje Tveit, this adaptation confounds our expectations of an Ibsen production. Tveit directs with an urgency that drives the plot, no set and no attempt at realism. This fresh, European approach sheds colour, light and sound on our traditional view of Ibsen as a dusty old playwright.

Ibsen Stage Company kicks off its run at the Riverside with a Second International Ibsen Seminar hosted by the Norwegian Embassy on 6 February. Cast includes Doron Davidson, Sarah Head, Jenni Lea-Jones, Rosalind Stockwell, Matthew Williamson and Fanos Xenofos.
