The Danish - Scottish Society (DSS) was founded in 1986 and today has over 200 members. The members are mainly people in Scotland with links to, or a special interest in Denmark. DSS arranges events and publishes a three-monthly newsletter.

Danish Society London is an internet/email based discussion group for Danes living in England. Most members do, however, live in London.  The group was set up in June 2001 and has over 250 members. The purpose of the group is to connect Danes living in England. The group is used to exchange information and to arrange social activities around the country.

The Association of Estonians in Great Britain acts as a central co-ordinating committee, trying to keep alive the culture and language of Estonia in Great Britain, both among the older generation who came here as refugees after the second world war and more recent arrivals. We are a voluntary organisation and we cannot help with regard to accommodation and employment, nor with funding, grants or finance.

The London French Meetup is the biggest group of French speakers of all ages and nationalities in London. We hold regular events to meet up, talk in French and share interests in French culture whilst having a good time. Our main events are on the 2nd Tuesday and the 4th Wednesday of each month. In addition, we organise other regular events such as outings to: restaurants, trendy bars, French films, live music, sports related activities, outdoor events and more. The organising team is made of volunteers from different nationalities and ages. Our members are made up of: 1/3 French nationals, 1/3 English nationals and 1/3 other nationalities and francophone countries.

The programme covers topics and issues concerning Russia and Eastern Europe, including culture, politics, economics and business. You will have opportunities to hear and speak Russian, but a knowledge of the Russian language is not essential.

Scandinavian Club of Lincolnshire (SKOL)

In the 1970’s some of the Scandinavians who lived in and around Lincoln got together and decided to try and revive some of the traditions of their homelands, and to give their children some idea of their heritage. An informal Juletraesfest, to which Scandinavians throughout the county were invited, was held in Lincoln and this was so successful that it was decided to form a club where all interested Scandinavians could meet and get together, subsequently in February 1976 SKOL, (The Scandinavian Klubb of Lincolnshire) was founded.

Hertfordshire Anglo-Scandinavian Society

Our membership includes not only Swedes, Danes and Norwegians by birth, but also people with family, friends or business connections in the Scandinavian and Nordic countries. Others have travelled to Scandinavia or are interested in the area, its cultures and its peoples. We have a wide ranging programme of both Scandinavian and local topics and meetings include a talk or activity followed by a chat over refreshments. Society traditions include our Julefest celebration in December, and an annual summer outing.
